Taylor Odom Therapy

About Me

I’m a lifelong Diablo Valley resident who cares deeply about serving my community. My personal and professional journey has led me here, to a place where I feel honored to support people in finding connection, healing, and growth.

For six years, I worked at Big Minds, an unschool for twice-exceptional children in Pinole, as a math, ELA, and life skills teacher. I partnered closely with families to support both academic learning and social-emotional well-being. What inspired me most was witnessing the transformation of children who felt newly understood, supported, and empowered through relational work, and this led me to pursue a career in therapy.

I’ve also been involved in research focused on the experiences of autistic adults with higher support needs and their families. I see research as both advocacy work and as a source of ongoing learning and professional development. My training and experience help me stay current on the literature and grounded in evidence-based practices, while also holding space for each client’s unique lived experience.

Since beginning my internship during my graduate program, I have exclusively worked in a group-practice-like setting, seeing clients long-term for weekly sessions. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with clients from diverse backgrounds with a wide variety of needs and situations.
